RIP Chequers

ubiquitouslymeOne of my cats, Chequers, died Sunday. We are unsure why this happened. The boys found her laying on the kitchen floor. It looks like she went quickly. It was a very sad Sunday. Geoff buried her in the backyard, under the trees. He's going to make a marker for her soon.
Out of all our cats, she was the one the boys will not miss too much. She was a very skittish kitteh who would hang out in our sunroom by herself. She would lay next to Geoff and I on the couch, but she did not want more contact than that. But we will miss her all the same.
Chequers was a stray that came into our lives during Christmas of 2004. She found our porch that night and came in from the cold and into our hearts.
We love you Chequers.
