I love the iTunes so much... It is just so handy! They finally just got in the extended cd of Celtic Woman: A New Journey. That is one of my favorite cds, and when I bought the cd at Best Buy, I didn't realize it was missing a few songs from the show I saw on PBS during begging week. Well, iTunes has finally put out 5 of the extended version songs, so I am a happy woman now. They all have just beautiful voices...

I just realized that Winter Soltice is just over a month away, and I have not started on clothes for the hubbins and I. I need to get going on that this weekend, between helping out the Piedmont Players with their costumes...

Well, my dining room table is cleared off, so that means time to junk it out with sewing, I guess...

Oh, and Geoff got us tickets to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra this December in Greensboro, Yay! That will be fun!

Well, I am sitting here at work, blowing my nose every few minutes or so... I managed to catch the office crud. I stayed home Monday because my sinuses where just FULL and I managed to go through 2 boxes of Kleenex.

Geoff and I went to see Van Halen Saturday night in Greensboro. It was totally awesome! David Lee Roth still has it, running back and forth across the stage and doing high kicks. Even though the arena had all these no smoking signs posted, I still managed to get a contact buzz...

I sent in my reservation for Winter Soltice the other day. It looks like it will be a great event! I am really excited about it. I convinced Geoff to go with me, so now we both need new clothes for it. Since it is Italian, I have to make a new Italian. I've got two months, and I think I can do it. We shall see, anyway. I will have to look it up when I get home and see if the event is Venetian or Florentine... I am thinking Venetian...

I will probably be daytripping to WOWII. Still uncertain at this point if I can make it or not.

Work is going ok. There is some interal strife going on, but that always seems to be going on, so...

I finished my first class in school; they do the block formation, so we have a different class every month throughout the semester. I got a B+, which is okay under the circumstances. Two deaths and a loathing of the class will do that, lol.

We had an apprentices meeting this past Sunday, and although it was quiet, we got a lot sorted out. (I know, I will be emailing the minutes tonight... :) ) I need to figure out what to work on next.

For me, that's always been a problem. Starting the project is not a problem, but maintaining interest throughout and finishing the project...that is hard. Maybe I have a touch of ADD, lol. I just seem to get distracted by all the shiny things along the way. But I will be working on my Tudor next, because I do want one... I am just rethinking some color choices. I think the we need to carpool down to Mary Jo's one of these weekends. I need other people's input...

Better get back to work...

I figured it's about time to post something happy for a change, and not filled with anger. Most of the time I am not really angry, I just tend to post when I am frustrated. So, with that in mind...

My graduation ceremony is Saturday, June 2nd. I am excited. I realize that this is a two-year degree, but it is still very important and empowering to me. I will have my associate's degree in accounting. My GPA ended up at a 3.91 overall. That's not too bad, although I would have reather not had those two B's that brought it down. And the two B's occurred because work had to come first. I have to go pick up my cap and gown today, so that will make it seem more real. I plan to continue on to get my bachelor's degree, but I am just not sure how to do that yet. Right now I am leaning towards University of Phoenix online, simply because it means no travel time. Anyone had an experience or heard things about them?

As far as the SCA goes, I had heard that there would be an interbaronial collegium (in Sacred Stone) at some point soon. Anyone know when that is? My laurel [livejournal.com profile] elfsea_escapee has sewing nights every Thursday, and I need to start back going to them. I need to get back into the game, after basically taking two years off.

Now I am starting to ramble, so more another time!

First off, a quick thanks to [livejournal.com profile] tashamcgann for turning me on to Lily Allen. Love the music!

Now the update:

Work has been busy, but not too bad overall. My boss held a meeting today and acted like someone had shoved a pine cone up his butt. Not sure who shoved it in, but they need to pull it back out.

I got two new work tops from QVC. I loves the QVC. My laptop died again. I will never ever by an HP laptop again. Stupid HP.

On and schools on Spring Break. wh00t! I would flash my boob and get hammered drunk, but I am too tired from working a bunch...

I had to get a crown on another tooth yesterday, which was not very fun, except for the ativan (relaxers). I did the drunk walk out of the dentists office. Heck, I had to take them while I was still at work, so I did the drunk walk out of the office and into the dentists.

St. Urho's Tourney is next weekend, hurrah! It will probably be the only SCA event I get to until school is over, so here's to some fun!

This summer I am hopeful that I will get my Mary Tudor dress done.

We went to dance practice tonight. Only a few people showed, which was disappointing. I brought my husband with me, in the hopes he would socialize and maybe even try to dance one dance. Of course he didn't. I just wish he'd try, y'know? Instead, he sat there reading a book. I get frustrated, because he' told me before he's had fun at events, but he has to be drug to them. He's always encouraging me to try new foods and other things, and I do. But he won't even do Maltese Bransle or anything.

It can be very frustrating being married to someone who doesn't like the SCA.

Also, they started to dredge the pond in my neighborhood the other day. It looks like crap, and not anything what the legal agreement stated. So know we get to fight with them more over this. Great...

But my work is still going well, and I really love it. Accounting is AWESOME!!!

While interning seemed like a good idea at the time, it's been crazy. Whenever I have to go into work, Geoff has to work from home to watch the boys, because we can't afford to pay for summer camp at $150 a week, with me getting paid nothing. Oh, and I hate Creative Solution Accounting, specifically the Financial Statement Module. It is teh program from hell. I want to wring the necks of the people who wrote it. No other program (Quickbooks or Peachtree for example) will let the balance sheet be unbalanced. But CSA will!! I also feel like an outsider still at the office. A lot of the women at the office go out to lunch, and I never get invited along. I don't know if it is because I am working on a special project and have no interaction with them, or if I am too new still, or what. But it's kinda lonely. And I don't want to go, "Hey, can I have lunch with you?" if they really don't want me there, you know? They are all very nice people.

SCA, haven't done much with that in a long while. I am making a Tudor dress, based off of Mary I. But I need to order fabric, and don't have any $$$ to do so. In fact, my lj account expired, and I can't renew that until next Friday...

But I did dye my hair a dark brown and get it trimmed.

So far I have been on two legal mediations for my homeowners association. What a pain! I got elected secretary earlier this month, and I've had to prepare and send out 3 letters, and call everyone once.

And I have a meeting at school tomorrow for Student Government.

Shoot me now, please...

Where's my summer?

CoH's Servers are down! I'm melting, melting......

*cough*

In other news, I made it back to school today. Feeling pretty good for the most part. Got some more erotica books in the mail (fiction, by Emma Holly). Sitting here watching the Dead Things, er, Red Wings play against the San Jose Sharks. Tied at the moment. 2 players got pucks to the face tonight. Ow.

Still have the bruise form hell on my arm, from the student plebotomist last Monday. I know they have to learn somewhere though.

Big SCA event in the works in this area. Not really involved with it, but it does sound neat. We'll see how it turns out.

I haven't done much with the SCA much lately - been too busy. Haven't wanted to do much either. Slightly tired of the politics. There's not too much politic stuff lately, I just think I am worn out.

School's going well, although I am having a hard time coming up with an argumentative paper topic. None of the samples the book lists are anything that I feel strongly about, one way or another. Any ideas?

wh00t!!!!! Red Wing's won!
