This reminds me of my friend Stacey from high school in Michigan. We went through a Beastie Boys Stage.
Day 06. A song that reminds you of somewhere
Growing up in Virginia Beach, we had a sailboat, and every Thursday night there was a race at the marina. I would go to a lot of these with my Dad, and he would play Huey Lewis and the News a lot.
Day 07. A song that reminds you of a certain event
I played French Horn for almost 10 years. After my Sophmore year in high school, at Floyd E. Kellam High School in Virginia Beach, where the band was the only reason people came to the football games, we moved to Ada, Michigan. I attended Lowell Senior High School, and the band there was only used as a reason to get out of P.E. So I started playing with a college, Grand Valley State University, an hour away from us, to play music that was the caliber I was used to. This was one of my favorite songs we did.
