Well, this weekend I graduated from Catawba College with my Bachelor's in Business Administration! It was a lovely ceremony, and my husband and children came, along with my parents, my paternal Grandmother and my Aunt Vickie. We went out for dinner afterward at La Cava, which was fantastic. And then I was gifted with things, the height of which is a three day, two night trip to Asheville, with Biltmore tours and lunch at the Biltmore, for my husband and I, no children allowed!
Now, I am in the process of applying for the fall semester at University of North Carolina - Charlotte for their Master's in Accountancy program, which should take me 1-2 years to complete, depending how many classes I can take at once. I will also still be working at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College in the Tutoring Center, and as a part-time instructor this fall, teaching accounting.
Now, all I have to do is study for the GMAT, which is why I am posting to lj instead...

Date: 2009-05-13 05:02 pm (UTC)Yes, my ultimate goal is to be able to sit for the CPA exam. I should be able to do this after I get my master's degree. In the state of NC, you have to have 150 credit hours to be able to sit for the exam. Some schools offer a 150 hour bachelor's degree, but it seems silly to me to do it that way, when you can get a master's degree for 6 hours more...
