HP is annoying!!!

My laptop is not working right. So I call HP to help fix it. Reinstalled drivers. That didn't fix it, so this weekend Hubby and I wiped the hard drive and started with a clean install. Still doesn't work right, can't play City of Heroes or Villains or Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines without the computer spontaneously rebooting about 15 seconds after the game starts. All the games work fine on our desktop and Hubby's laptop (same model as mine). I tried to explain this to the person halfway around the world working tech support. She said that it was a software issue, and wanted my CC number and she'd hook me up with better support. WTF???!!! It's still under warranty.

It's not been a good day. The manager at the Circuit City is helping me straighten this out...

Having delt with HP quite a bit (my company is an HP reseller), I have a couple tips. First off, you can take it to an HP warranty repair place, and they will do the repair if there is something wrong with the hardware. Also, you can try going to the HP web site and doing a web chat - they seem to have better people up there. I think that they can afford to put a real American on web chat because they can handle 3 people at once rather than 1 SE Asain to 1 Customer on the phones.

Does it only reboot when you are trying to play games, or does it reboot after 15 minutes of use regardless?

Oops
